Dear Annotto Bay Family & Friends,
Amongst the growing concerns of COVID-19, we at Annotto Bay want you to know that the safety and well-being of your families and of our families is of the utmost importance. We are closely monitoring the pandemic and are armed with information and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Washington State Department of Health. As the status of these guidelines/recommendations are fluid, we will be evaluating and adapting our protocol to these changes accordingly. At this point it is so important that we come together as a community with hope and understanding of those around us. We can all do this by being a positive contributor to society by practicing common courtesy and high levels of hygiene. These steps will ultimately add to the continued safety and health of all.
With that being said, we are still currently open for business and taking extra precautions to actively reduce the spread of germs:
• We are practicing frequent hand washing with soap and water for 20 seconds at least.
• We are cleaning/wiping down the most-often touched surfaces in our building including exam rooms, doorknobs, counter tops, etc. after each visit with an EPA approved disinfectant.
Use of hygiene practices such as:
• Avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Covering coughs and sneezes (with tissues).
• Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
• Staying home if sick, medical care excepted
• COVID-19 Symptom Education (Fever, Cough, Shortness of Breath)
We have also implemented some changes to our traditional check in process to help minimize exposure by asking that you remain in your vehicles and
call us when you have arrived. We will collect history and payment over the phone, and come out and collect your pet. Please be advised that it is highly likely that we may switch to a total "drop-off" system for appointments depending on our changing circumstances, staff availability, etc. In addition we will be altering office hours at this time. We will be available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 am -3:00 pm. If your pet is scheduled for a procedure, the normal drop off time remains between the time of 9:00am-9:30am. For those of you who are concerned about coming into the office for prescriptions, we recommend placing your orders on Vetsource for more immediate approval and shipment to your home. There will more likely than not be delays of prescription approvals that are faxed or called into the office during this unprecedented time. The sooner we help flatten out the curve, the sooner business can continue as usual for everyone.
If our situation changes or if you have any questions, please visit our website for updates or give us a call at 425-369-2282. Again, hours of operation are subject to change. To help reduce exposure exams are by appointment only.
Stay healthy, stay safe,
The Annotto Bay Staff
